The Bridge welcomes hundreds for post-parade tree lighting ceremony

The Bridge at Ridgely welcomed approximately 300 community members Saturday night to their Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The facility’s dining room, filled to capacity, was the center of all the excitement with visits from Santa, the lighting of the Christmas tree, and hot cocoa and cookies baked by the dietary department. The event, which was a joint effort between The Bridge and the city of Ridgely, immediately followed the town’s Christmas parade.

Several city officials were present for the event and distributed trophies to the winners of the different parade categories, with The Bridge’s float winning second place for their “Twas The Night Before Christmas” theme. Some of the special guests were Brenda Crittendon, Alderman and Parade Chairman; Ridgely Mayor Steve Jones and his wife, Kathy; and  Lake County Mayor Denny Johnson and his wife, Linda.

The Bridge at Ridgely is a 100-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center operated by Signature HealthCARE, based in Louisville, KY.
